MeetBrief is designed to help users record, transcribe and analyze meetings. You should only record conversations when you have the legal right and any required permission to do so.
Information MeetBrief processes
When you use MeetBrief, the app may process meeting audio recordings, transcripts, generated summaries, action items, follow-up emails and translated meeting content.
How meeting audio is collected
Meeting audio is created only when you choose to start a recording in the MeetBrief app. After a recording is completed, you can choose whether to generate an AI summary.
AI processing and OpenAI
MeetBrief uses OpenAI as a third-party artificial intelligence provider. Before AI processing begins, MeetBrief asks for your permission to share meeting data with OpenAI.
If you choose Allow & Continue, your meeting audio is processed by OpenAI to create a transcript. The resulting transcript is then processed by OpenAI to generate your meeting summary, action items and follow-up email.
If you choose Not Now, MeetBrief does not begin the AI analysis for that recording.
Translation
When you use MeetBrief's translation features, meeting content such as the transcript, summary, action items and follow-up email may be processed by the app's cloud services in order to provide the requested translation.
Firebase and Google Cloud services
MeetBrief uses Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure for app authentication, cloud functions, data storage and processing. Meeting audio may be uploaded to cloud storage so that the requested AI processing can be performed.
Why this data is used
Meeting data is used only to provide MeetBrief features requested by the user, including transcription, summaries, action items, follow-up emails, translation, storage and retrieval of meeting briefs.
Third-party data protection
MeetBrief uses service providers that maintain privacy, security and data protection measures for information processed through their services. OpenAI processes API customer data under its applicable business and data processing terms, and Firebase services are governed by Google's applicable Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms.
Consent
MeetBrief does not begin third-party AI processing until the user is shown the AI Data Processing disclosure and chooses Allow & Continue.
Data control and deletion
Users can manage their saved MeetBrief content from within the app where available. If you need assistance with deletion of MeetBrief data or have questions about your information, contact us at the address below.
Recording responsibility
Recording laws vary by country and jurisdiction. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from meeting participants before recording them.
